Bring Me the Decision, Transition, or Leadership Challenge You Can't Fully Think Through Inside the System.
Why This Work Matters to Me
I came to this work because I know what it feels like to be capable, committed, and successful while still wondering why work feels harder than it should.
For years, I helped organizations and their leaders communicate through enormous change. I wrote the messages, advised executives on communications strategy, and helped people understand what was happening around them. At the same time, I was learning, sometimes gracefully and sometimes painfully, what change asks of the person living through it.
I learned that competence doesn't automatically create confidence, influence, belonging, or satisfaction. I learned that people can be highly accomplished and still lack the language to explain what they do best, what they need, or why a particular environment keeps bringing out the worst in them. I also learned that even the most thoughtful leaders have patterns they cannot see clearly from inside their own experience. I was one of them. I wish I had this insight for myself back during those moments.
That is why I care so deeply about self-awareness that leads somewhere useful.
I don't use personality assessments to place people into tidy categories or give them another label to carry. I use them to open a more honest conversation about how someone is wired to work best, where they are effective, and where greater choice is possible. This work helped me recognize where I led well, where I didn't, and what I needed to learn. I want my clients to have access to that same depth of understanding without having to stumble toward it alone.
My role is to listen closely, notice patterns, ask the question underneath the question, and tell the truth with care. Sometimes the work is about becoming a stronger leader. More often, it is about repairing a team, reclaiming a voice, navigating a transition, or recognizing that the next chapter needs to look different from the last one.
I believe people do their best work when they can see themselves accurately, understand the moment they are in, and make choices that reflect both who they are and who they are becoming. Helping people reach that point is the work I feel most grateful to do.
The Rest of My Story
I am a Certified Executive Coach, Master Facilitator, and one of a select group of MBTI® Master Practitioners in the United States certified across Step I™, Step II™, and Step III™. I was personally sponsored for Step III™ training and certification by Katharine D. Myers.
My work is grounded in firsthand experience.
Twenty Years Inside the Change
Before becoming an executive coach and leadership development expert, I spent more than a decade working inside complex organizations undergoing relentless change. I navigated 21 mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, and restructurings, while advising senior leaders through downsizing, uncertainty, shifting priorities, and major business transformation.
Those experiences gave me a close view of what change demands from people. I saw how often organizational confusion and individual pain were treated as separate issues, even though each was shaping the other. Organizations may have a strategy, a timeline, and a carefully crafted announcement, yet leaders and employees are still left to make sense of what the change means for their identity, credibility, relationships, and future.
I stepped into that gap to create a service agency focused on helping people understand why they do what they do, recognize the patterns influencing their effectiveness, and decide what they can do differently. My work helps leaders build the self-awareness and judgment required to grow, lead more intentionally, strengthen relationships, and find greater satisfaction in their work while supporting the strategic and financial goals of the organization.
What Self-Awareness Actually Does
I believe self-awareness is one of the strongest drivers of individual effectiveness, trusted workplace relationships, sound leadership, productive teamwork, and sustained organizational performance. Insight alone, however, rarely changes behavior. My work helps clients translate what they see into language, choices, and action they can use in the moments that matter most.
My expertise spans executive presence, strategic communication, influence, organizational effectiveness, team development, leadership transition, and career strategy. I work with executives who are navigating greater visibility and responsibility, women leading in environments that were not designed with them in mind, professionals reconsidering what they want from the next chapter of their careers, and teams that need better ways to communicate, make decisions, and work through tension.
I bring depth in Personality Type and behavioral development to this work. With master practitioner status across several assessment tools, I am qualified across all three levels of the MBTI®, from foundational type preferences of Step I™ through the deeper patterns explored in Step II™ and Step III™, as well as the Hogan Assessments and my own Insight Under Pressure tool. The goal is to help people see themselves more accurately, understand how others experience them, and expand the range of choices available to them, not hand them another label dressed up as insight.
I earned coaching certifications from New York University and Columbia University and continued my studies in the Immunity to Change™ process at Harvard University. I have also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through the Beck Institute and in Narrative Coaching at the Moment Institute, drawing on the ways people make meaning from their experiences and the stories they carry about who they are, what they can do, and what may be possible next.
Self-awareness is one of the strongest drivers of individual effectiveness, trusted relationships, and sound leadership. Insight alone, though, rarely changes behavior.
Before the Boardroom
My professional path began in music, where I first learned how sound, language, timing, and emotion can move people. I later moved into journalism during the final thriving years of regional print news, where I developed the discipline to listen closely, ask better questions, find the real story, and communicate complexity with precision.
From journalism, I moved into increasingly senior corporate communications roles, working at the intersection of strategic messaging, organizational development, and business performance. My experience includes executive communication, internal communication, crisis response, investor relations, public relations, corporate social responsibility, branding, and marketing communication.
Throughout my corporate career, I helped leaders explain difficult decisions, build confidence during uncertainty, and connect business strategy to the people responsible for carrying it out. My strategic communications work received multiple international awards from the International Association of Business Communicators and the Public Relations Society of America.
Today, I bring those disciplines together through NSight Works. My coaching and facilitation combine pattern recognition, honest conversation, practical strategy, and a deep respect for the complexity of people and organizations.
I help clients see themselves and their circumstances with greater accuracy, find language for what they know and what they need, and make better decisions under pressure. The work is designed to create movement that lasts, whether the challenge involves leading through uncertainty, strengthening a team, increasing influence, navigating a career transition, or deciding what comes next.
